Our new generation of battery electric vehicles benefit from our experience in electrification to deliver an uncompromising blend of power, reliability and performance. Every battery electric vehicle runs on battery power alone, using no fuel and producing zero emissions at the tailpipe when driving. At least ten new zero tailpipe emission Toyota vehicles are due in the next five years, spearheaded by the Toyota bZ4X, Proace City Electric and Proace Electric.
At John Roe, we want to make our customers’ lives a little easier. So here’s a quick guide to your Toyota EV.
What are the benefits of a battery electric vehicle?
As they run on battery power alone, an EV does not produce any emissions from the tailpipe. Simple to charge and easy to drive, they can also offer lower running costs than a conventional vehicle. In cities, you can drive them in low emission and congestion charge zones with no charge.
How do I charge my vehicle?
Whether you’re charging at home, at the office or on the go at the growing number of rapid charge points, recharging your electric vehicle is simple and convenient.
Rapid – The fastest way to charge your battery electric vehicle. There are over 3000 public rapid charge points in the UK, and that number is growing.
Fast – These charge points are commonly found in car parks and workplaces, you can even install one in your driveway.
Slow – A Toyota electric vehicle can be charged from a normal plug socket, we would recommend your sockets are checked by an electrician first.
What about warranty?
Like every element in Toyota, the batteries in our electric vehicles are engineered to last. For peace of mind, every battery comes with an 8 year/100,000 mile warranty.
