Translating to ‘Number One’ in Japanese, the Ichiban award is exclusively reserved for Toyota Retailers who excel in customer satisfaction.
Over 2,500 European retailers compete for the honour to become one of 45 annual winners, and those who are successful have proved to demonstrate leadership and focus to consistently deliver the highest levels of service.
The award highlights an excellence to deliver sales and aftersales that prioritise the customer, and go above and beyond to ensure outstanding levels of customer service, demonstrating a unique approach with utmost commitment to a customer first mindset.
“We always strive to go the extra mile at Scunthorpe John Roe, so to be recognised as one of the top three centres for customer service is such an achievement. It reflects the culture, strength and quality of the team here and I have to thank every one of them for their continuous efforts.” – Dan Bird, General Manager at Scunthorpe John Roe.
Due to the current climate, the award ceremony could not go ahead as usual, but took place virtually, with Toyota’s best retailers connecting digitally to Toyota Motor Europe’s Head Office in Brussels. A physical ceremony is planned to take place in September.
